Invader Studios™ is an independent Italian software house, located in the Roman countryside, founded in July 2016 but it has operated since 2014 (former Invader Games).
The company focuses on producing innovative video games in line with the current quality standards of the market while trying to meet the needs of the ever-changing gaming audience. We are gamers before we are game designers, working in a growing team of young, qualified and passionate individuals. Since its very foundation, Invader Studios has taken part and held many workshops and seminars for game developers in occasion of international events like Codemotion, Milan Games Week, Google Dev Fest and in the role of training partner for the DigitalBros Game Academy.
The studio also worked on an unofficial remake of Capcom’s 1998 classic Resident Evil 2, which has drawn more than 1 million views on YouTube as of today.
The project was interrupted when the official Resi 2 remake was announced in 2015, at that time the group received an invitation from Capcom to visit their headquarters in Osaka, Japan. Currently, the team is composed of 15 people—including coders, 2D and 3D graphic artists, sound artists, game designers etc.—and is focusing on the production of its first survival horror game, “Daymare: 1998”™ as well as a virtual reality game for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
Daymare: 1998 is a third person survival horror game with over the shoulder camera, developed in Unreal Engine 4 for Windows PC. The game features high-end graphics, original soundtrack, immersive atmosphere, hardcore survival mechanics and many connections with the beloved old school survival horror games and ’90s landmark brands.
